Buying and selling

We hold stock across our key markets, which means a request for a small number of boxes at short notice is usually answerable from inventory rather than from the market. Larger requirements are sourced against the order, and we will say which of the two situations applies rather than quoting availability we do not have.

On the sell side, we buy surplus equipment where the location and condition make it worth positioning. If you are holding boxes you no longer need in a port we serve, it is worth asking.

Condition grades

• New (one trip) — manufactured recently, one laden voyage, cosmetically and structurally as-new
• Cargo Worthy — surveyed as fit for international carriage, with a valid CSC plate
• Wind & Water Tight — sound for storage; not certified for shipping
• As-Is — sold on inspection, priced accordingly

Inspection and delivery

Units are inspected before release and, where the grade requires it, a condition report is issued. Delivery to your yard or nominated depot is arranged with the sale, and we will handle the survey and any repair coordination needed to bring a unit to the grade agreed.
