FCL service
Our service for full container loads is based on shipping only with first-class carriers. Our contracts worldwide allow us to deliver flexibility, reliability and frequent departures on all routes.
- 20’ and 40’ standard containers
- Reefer, flat-rack and open-top options
- Weekly sailings on major trade lanes
LCL service
Ship regularly at cost-effective rates with fixed schedules and frequent departures. Direct load transit minimises transport times for your consolidated cargo.
Our own shipping lines
PARS Line operates from the UAE on the UAE–Iran sector. PVS Shipping Line Ltd operates from the UK between European, Chinese, UAE and Iranian ports.
How we book ocean freight
We contract with first-class carriers rather than buying on the spot market week to week, which is what allows us to hold allocation when space tightens and to quote a rate that survives from enquiry to booking. On our core lanes we hold space commitments; elsewhere we buy against the requirement.
Two questions decide most ocean bookings, and we would rather ask them early. The first is whether the cargo genuinely fills the equipment booked, because a 40’ unit carrying two-thirds of a load is money left on the quay. The second is what happens at destination — whether the consignee can take delivery within free time, whether the port has the equipment to discharge what you are sending, and whether the documentation will clear.
Equipment and cargo types
- 20’ and 40’ general purpose, and 40’ high cube
- Reefer equipment with temperature and ventilation set to the commodity
- Flat racks and open tops for out-of-gauge and over-height cargo
- Break bulk and RoRo where containerisation is not practical
- Dangerous goods under IMDG, subject to declaration and carrier approval
Documentation
Our documentation team handles bills of lading, certificates of origin, letter of credit presentations and the bank-facing paperwork that accompanies them. Where a credit specifies wording, we check the draft against the credit before issuance rather than after rejection — which is the point at which most letter of credit problems become expensive.
Consolidation and cross stuffing
Where cargo arrives from several origins, or where the equipment booked is not the equipment the onward leg needs, our cross-stuffing operation at Jebel Ali consolidates or transfers it before the onward sailing. This is frequently the difference between three part-loads and one economic container.
