The DP World storage scale for Jebel Ali, reproduced in full, with a calculator that walks each band in turn.
Storage is charged by the terminal on a container standing in the yard, for every calendar day beyond the free time the tariff allows. It is a DP World charge, not ours: DP World sets the scale, revises it, and collects it. The tables below reproduce the published scale so you can see the shape of the exposure before a box lands.
Storage and detention are different charges and are billed by different parties. Storage accrues while the container sits inside the terminal and is payable to the terminal operator. Detention accrues once the box has been gated out and is in your possession, and is payable to the carrier — our detention calculator covers that side.
Rates apply per container, per day. Free days count from the start of the storage period. Empty container storage charges are applied at the end of each month for containers not delivered or loaded during that month.

- Where a consignee imports at least 30 containers on a single bill of lading or on the same vessel-voyage (rotation), free storage is granted for the first 14 days. Thereafter the rates above apply.
- Where a consignee imports at least 100 containers on a single bill of lading or on the same vessel-voyage (rotation), free storage is granted for the first 20 days. Thereafter the rates above apply.
